The heavy-duty IFS features an 12-inch GM brake package (5-on-5 wheel bolt-pattern) with 1 1/4-inch diameter X .156-inch wall lower A-arms and 1-inch diameter X .156-inch wall upper A-arms suspended by QA1 aluminum, adjustable coilover shocks. The 2 X 4 X .188-inch wall front crossmember holds a Mustang ‘79-93 manual rack-and-pinion steering unit.
Your options include power steering, 1-inch diameter sway bars, different tread widths 57, 59, 62 1/2-inch, 12-inch GM brake package (5-on-5 wheel bolt-pattern), Baer or Wilwood disc brake packages. Air Ride Technologies air bag systems is another option, using either the new QA1 Firestone front SHOCKWAVE® unit or Firestone air bags complete with on-board pump, tank, gauges/switches, solenoid pack and suspension bump stops.
